Why Matcha is AMAZING!

Matcha is a great alternative to coffee. Matcha has a decent level of caffeine, it also has elements that are good for reducing stress. No matter what type of lifestyle you have, whether you work a lot, maybe you are a student and your weekly assignments are pilling up, or maybe you are a mom and the littles are pushing your boundaries everyday; we are ask stressed one way or another from time to time. 

There is a reason why in the Asian culture, tea is such a normal combination in every meal. While researching about matcha, there is so many information regarding simmering tea leaves in hot water to enhance stress reducing of green tea.  According to Stress-Reducing Function of Matcha Green Tea in Animal Experiments and Clinical Trials, there is an Anti-Stress Effects of Matcha in a Mouse Model of Psychosocial Stress. However, one important point that stood out is that Japanese Matcha has more stress suppression compared to other kinds. Now, we are not a mouse, duh. So lets check out how matcha helps us. the Japanese powdered green tea, matcha, contains high amounts of substances with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It has promising potential health benefits, mainly through a high concentration of catechins. With regular consumption, it may support the body’s efforts to maintain health and prevent disease. Here are some benefits of matcha:

  • Matcha may help lower blood glucose levels
  • Promote clarity of mind and cognitive function
  • Strengthening blood vessels
  • Protective effects against cancer

Match is something I incorporate in my mornings. It gives me a push to get my work done. I am slowly replacing coffee with matcha. Although, I love the taste of coffee, the chemical composition in matcha all have a lot of benefits. Theanine, Phenolic compounds, Catechins, and Antioxidants. These are all in good quality matcha.
